Prophets & Waiting on the Lord - Prophet Sadhu Sundar Selvaraj shares his personal experience...
There are many examples of this throughout the Bible, but how many of
us really know about that and how many of us have heeded to wait on the
Lord ? Waiting on him without sin and without expecting anything from him ?
In our lives we can find a number of excuses to justify our inability to wait
on the Lord, but the Bible is very clear about that subject and about what
we ought to do to gain deeper insight into the spiritual realm of the holy spirit.
Waiting on the Lord is a key factor in the calling of God for a prophet.
This is what the Bible tells us about waiting on God..
Psalm 25:5
Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation;
For You I wait all the day.
Psalm 27:14
Wait for the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes,
wait for the LORD.
Hosea 12:6
Therefore, return to your God, Observe kindness and justice, And wait for
your God continually
The greatest waiting that most of us that believe the Lord or died
in believing the Lord Jesus is about his coming.. Explained in the
book of James, this message is important for all of us to consider
our faith based on actions and motives that are continually
directing us to the return of the Lord Jesus.
James 5:7-8
Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord The farmer
waits for the precious produce of the soil, being patient about it, until it
gets the early and late rains. You too be patient; strengthen your hearts,
for the coming of the Lord is near.
There is also a prophetic symbolism observed in the message of Jesus
on how to be alert all the time, hoping and waiting for his return..
Luke 12:35-40
"Be dressed in readiness, and keep your lamps lit. "Be like men who are
waiting for their master when he returns from the wedding feast, so that
they may immediately open the door to him when he comes and knocks.
"Blessed are those slaves whom the master will find on the alert when he
comes; truly I say to you, that he will gird himself to serve, and have
them recline at the table, and will come up and wait on them
